Firebug 1.11.2

Monday, February 25th, 2013

Firebug team released Firebug 1.11.2.

Firebug 1.11.2 fixes 5 issues.
Firebug 1.11.2 is compatible with Firefox 17-20.

As we already mentioned in preceding beta release the main new feature in this version is Closure Inspector. This feature allows inspecting closure variables that are not accessible through standard property iteration.

There are couple of posts explaining this feature in detail.

Note that Firebug 1.11.2b2 has also been released to also update users on AMO beta channel. This version is the same as 1.11.2

Please post feedback in the newsgroup, thanks.

  • New Net panel filters

The old Flash filter has been renamed to Plugins and covers Flash as well as Silverlight HTTP requests. There is also a new filter labeled Fonts that is used to see HTTP requests for custom fonts only (font/ttf or font/woff mime-types).

  • Help in the Command Line improved (Issue 6200)
  • Help improved for Command Line tips

The help command (available in Firebug Command Line) has been extended and displays also some useful tips for the Command line itself. So, apart from the Command Line API section (which was already available before) there is also Command Line Tips section. You can learn about how to inspect closure variables directly from the Command Line.
