Firebug 1.12 alpha 4

getfirebug.com has Firebug 1.12 alpha 4

Firebug 1.12a4 fixes 12 issues
Firebug 1.12a4 is compatible with Firefox 20-22

Some highlights from this release

  • The CSS panel now shows @page rules (issue 5289)
  • Page CSS Rules

  • Switch off stack arguments (issue 6316)
  • Stack frames displayed in the Stack panel can be sometimes unusable due to a long list of arguments and so, we introduced a new option Show Arguments allowing to show/hide them.

    Show Arguments Option

  • Display value attribute in the Console (issue 6317)
  • Consider the following code:

    var myInput = document.getElementById("myInput");
    myInput.value = "value1";
    myInput.setAttribute("value", "value2");

    An input element has been assigned two values. One through property and the other through attribute.

    If you log the input element into Firebug (using jQuery.$ in the following example) you can now see both.

    Input element value

We are also hardworking on adopting JSD2 in Firebug (JSD2 == new JavaScript debugging engine in Firefox) and doing great progress. You can watch the effort if you are interested!

Please post feedback in the newsgroup, thanks
