Firebug 1.6.1

getfirebug.com has new Firebug 1.6.1 that fixes problems reported for 1.6.0. Among other things the ‘Ctrl + Shift + Arrow shortcut collision’ is fixed.

Firebug 1.6.1 is also uploaded on AMO, but it could take some time to appear – since it must go through the regular review process (yes, this is new). We hope for quick reviews so, there is not a delay for the end user (sure you can always install from getfirebug.com).

Firebug release channels summary:

  • Stable channel. The stable channel is updated with new features after they have been thoroughly tested in the Beta and Alpha channels. Install from Mozilla Addons Site.
  • Beta channel. Users who want to have new features quickly (releases every 1-2 weeks) and like to help refine the latest additions should use this channel. Become a beta tester and download from AMO (beta channel) or getfirebug.com!
  • Alpha channel (aka dev channel). This is developer preview channel. It can be buggy and unstable sometimes, but this is the right source for developers who want to contribute to Firebug or those who are building a Firebug extension and need the latest APIs. Download from getfirebug.com.

Of course, you’ll be automatically prompted for an update in any of these channels.
